Basketball Recap: Kongiganak Piles Up the Points Against Kwigillingok

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kongiganak). They blew past the Kwigillingok Eagles 99-69 on Saturday. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.

Kongiganak was led to victory by Kenneth Charlie and Sam Lewis. Charlie posted 23 points, while Lewis had 16 points. The match was Lewis' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Greyson Otto, who scored ten points.

Kongiganak is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.5 points. As for Kwigillingok, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Kongiganak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-47 defeat against Chief Paul Memorial on the 1st. Kwigillingok does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
