Basketball Recap: Seabreeze Drops Season-High Score on University

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against The First Academy, Seabreeze was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the University Titans by a score of 71-59. The Sandcrabs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seabreeze to victory, but perhaps none more so than Reece Casto, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. With that strong performance, Casto is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jordan Anthony, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points.

Seabreeze was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.

Seabreeze's record now sits at 4-5. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Seabreeze will head out to square off against Pine Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for University, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against DeLand at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DeLand knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully University likes a good challenge.
