Baseball Recap: Vandegrift Comes Up Short

Vandegrift managed to slip by Boerne-Champion the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Vandegrift Vipers lost 13-5 to the Boerne-Champion Chargers on Thursday. The loss was the Vipers' first of the season.

Vandegrift's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Boerne-Champion, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Vandegrift and Boerne-Champion's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Vandegrift will face off against MacArthur at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, a team that's only allowed two runs per game. Similarly, Boerne-Champion and Burbank (who has only given up one run per game) will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
