Seaholm was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Harper Woods on Monday. The Maples' pitcher stepped up to hand the Pioneers a 15-0 shutout. The Maples might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.

Patrick Hughes was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ozzy Borman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Nick Davis was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.

Seaholm was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .700. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Harper Woods only posted a batting average of .111.

Seaholm's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Harper Woods, they dropped their record down to 4-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Seaholm beat the Pioneers by a score of 10-0 later that day.
