Softball Recap: Piedmont Academy Takes a Loss

Piedmont Academy had lost eight straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 1-16 to make it nine. They lost 19-2 to the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 two weeks ago.

Kolbee Osborne made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

As for Tattnall Square Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The result was nothing new for Tattnall Square Academy, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

On Tattnall Square Academy's side, Abigayle Baugh was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. That's the most runs Baugh has posted since back in August of 2024. Anna Still was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

Looking ahead, Piedmont Academy will welcome Westfield School at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they will face off against Stratford Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
