After a string of eight wins, Miramar's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 71-64 to the Westminster Christian Warriors. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 53-48 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Miramar still got an impressive performance from Joshua Skinner, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Skinner a new career-high in steals (five). Martell Smith was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Leading Westminster Christian to victory were Julian Crespo and Cooper Whitby. Crespo went 6 for 11 en route to 25 points, while Whitby went 5 of 9 on his way to 18 points. Whitby's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Hendrikse, who posted six points and 12 boards.

Miramar's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Westminster Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Miramar has already played their next contest, a 44-42 loss against Norland on the 14th. As for Westminster Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 48-35 win against Northeast on the 11th.
