Baseball Recap: Cuero Comes Up Short

Cuero's tournament run continued when they took on Lampasas on Saturday. The Cuero Gobblers fell 7-2 to the Lampasas Badgers.

Cuero has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Lampasas and bumps their season record up to 6-2-1.

Coming up, Cuero will square off against Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cuero is facing Calhoun at the right time seeing as Calhoun is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lampasas, they will welcome Taylor at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lampasas' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Taylor's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
