Basketball Recap: Campbell County Camels vs. South Bison

The Campbell County Camels can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They blew past South 59-32 on the road. Given Campbell County's advantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Bison are ranked 45th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cami Curtis was her usual excellent self, scoring 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Mykhia Dymond, who scored 11 points along with three steals.

Campbell County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for South, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell County will take on the Thunderbirds at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Bolts at 11:30 a.m. on February 3rd. Thunder Basin is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
