Gonzaga Prep extended their postseason success on Saturday against Ferris. They won by a goal and slipped past the Saxons 2-1. Given Gonzaga Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Ferris are ranked 232nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Alex Wood and Brian McGann scored both of Gonzaga Prep's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Gonzaga Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6-2 record this season. As for Ferris, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Gonzaga Prep will head out on the road to challenge Lewis & Clark at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis & Clark will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Gonzaga Prep surely won't give up without a fight. Ferris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
