Soccer Game Preview: Bromfield vs. Maynard

The Bromfield Trojans will challenge the Maynard Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bromfield's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Bromfield's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Tyngsborough 1-0. Given Bromfield's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Tyngsborough are ranked 86th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Maynard, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against Lunenburg by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Maynard haven't had any issues with Lunenburg recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Bromfield's victory bumped their record up to 7-0-1. As for Maynard, they now have a winning record of 3-2-2.
