Basketball Recap: Philadelphia Military Academy Comes Up Short

Philadelphia Military Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Girard Academic Music Program Pioneers. One positive for the Knights, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Philadelphia Military Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Daijon Crawford, who posted 15 points. Wahhaj Cheeks was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Girard Academic Music Program found their leader in sophomore Johnny Beaddy, who had 23 points. Another player making a difference was Jovanni Romeo, who put up eight points.

Philadelphia Military Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Girard Academic Music Program, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Philadelphia Military Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-22 victory against Randolph Vo-Tech on the 9th. As for Girard Academic Music Program, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-35 loss against Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech on the 9th.
