Volleyball Recap: Newton Find Success

Newton won the last time they faced Heights and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Railroaders walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Falcons.

While Newton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13.

Gracie Newhouse paced Newton's offense, picking up eight kills. Newhouse got some help from Daisy Bradshaw and her seven assists. Bradshaw was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Newton's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Heights, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

After both having extra time off, Newton and Goddard will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heights, they will challenge South on Thursday.
