Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rye walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 36-22 win over the Eastchester Eagles on Friday. The victory was just business as usual for the Garnets, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.

It was another big night for Carson Miller, who rushed for 154 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries, and also threw for 180 yards while completing 80% of his passes. Those 154 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Charlie Garnett was another key player, rushing for 54 yards and three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rye was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 239 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Rye didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Miller and Henry Shoemaker.

Rye's win bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Eastchester, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

As of now, neither Rye nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
