Rye had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They strolled past the Eastchester Eagles with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 36-22. The win was just business as usual for the Garnets, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.

Carson Miller was his usual excellent self, rushing for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 180 yards while completing 80% of his passes. Those 154 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Charlie Garnett was in the mix too, providing Rye with three TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rye was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 239 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 239 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Rye didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Henry Shoemaker and Miller.

Rye's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Eastchester, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-5.

Rye didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-17 win against Somers on the 14th. Eastchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
