Baseball Game Recap: Conrad Chargers vs. North Dallas Bulldogs

Conrad extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 5-13 in the process. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-1 to the North Dallas Bulldogs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2015, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for North Dallas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games.

For North Dallas' part, Lyric Strambler and Luis Garcia did most of the damage at the plate: Strambler went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Garcia went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Daveed Corral, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

While Conrad had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
