Volleyball Game Preview: Elkhorn Valley Falcons vs. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears

Elkhorn Valley is 0-4 against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge since October of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Falcons will face off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Monday, Elkhorn Valley made easy work of Walthill and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

West Holt typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Laurel-Concord-Coleridge proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Huskies 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won three in a row.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge never let West Holt on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-16, 25-22.

Elkhorn Valley's record is now 15-13. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, their record now sits at 28-3.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's matchup: Elkhorn Valley has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.5 aces per game. However, it's not like Laurel-Concord-Coleridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
