Baseball Recap: Warren Comes Up Short

Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 22-4 to the Kountze Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Tuesday.

Warren saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Ledbetter, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Easton Evans also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 4-19-1. As for Kountze, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Warren will challenge rival Anahuac at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kountze is set to face off against their familiar foe Kirbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
