Truman proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Platte County Pirates 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Patriots have posted since March 23rd.

Truman secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Brayden Branson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs Branson has posted since back in March.

Truman's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13. As for Platte County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season.

Truman will host Park Hill South at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Platte County, they will challenge Kearney at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
