Volleyball Recap: Amherst-Pelham Regional's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Amherst-Pelham Regional unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to the Minnechaug Regional Falcons. If the Hurricanes were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Falcons when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Amherst-Pelham Regional had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 24-26, 25-21.

Amherst-Pelham Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Minnechaug Regional, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Amherst-Pelham Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Chicopee on the 19th. As for Minnechaug Regional, they will head out to challenge Agawam at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
