Basketball Recap: Chief Ivan Blunka Takes a Loss

Chief Ivan Blunka won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were dealt a 76-45 loss at the hands of the Manokotak Lynx. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Lynx: they've now lost five in a row.

Jethron Nanalook had a dynamite game for Manokotak, putting up 49 points. Another player making a difference was Dalen Black, who posted nine points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Chief Ivan Blunka fell to 2-1. As for Manokotak, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Chief Ivan Blunka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Manokotak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-58 victory against Dillingham on the 11th.
