Football Recap: Moorpark Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Moorpark put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Birmingham Patriots with a sharp 38-13 victory. The Musketeers pushed the score to 31-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Patriots had little chance of recovering from.

Moorpark's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Moon, who rushed for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries. Moon's longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another rusher making a difference was Angel Castaneda, who rushed for 98 yards and two scores.

Moorpark's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Birmingham, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moorpark will welcome Santa Barbara at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Birmingham, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Calabasas at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
