League recap: Ledyard tops Bacon Academy to extend winning streak

Eastern Connecticut - Medium recap Nov. 7, 2012

Ledyard extended the longest winning streak in Eastern Connecticut - Medium this week by beating Bacon Academy, 47-7. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Colonels.

Ledyard took down the Bobcats 47-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Bacon Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Sean Kelly threw for 32 and one touchdown and Dan Narlock had 28 yards receiving. On the ground Aaron Stolzman chipped in 16 yards. Donovan Violette helped Bacon Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 20 yards.

Bacon Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Nate Kozlowski has thrown for 801 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Ryan Duclos has 30 catches for 470 yards. Stolzman leads the league in rushing with 233 yards.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Brian Enrique's team takes on Jim Buonocore's team. The Bobcats' offense has scored 92 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Colonels have allowed only 120 on the year.

A big matchup in Eastern Connecticut - Medium this week will be when Ledyard takes on Bacon Academy. The Colonels are in second place, while the Bobcats are in fifth place.

Ledyard led the league in scoring this week after putting up 47 points on Bacon Academy.
