Volleyball Game Preview: Heppner Mustangs vs. Irrigon Knights

Heppner is 8-2 against Irrigon since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. Heppner will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Heppner proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past Stanfield 3-2.

Meanwhile, Irrigon hadn't done well against Grant Union recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Prospectors.

Heppner's record is now 16-6. As for Irrigon, their record now sits at 11-4.

Heppner took their victory against Irrigon in their previous meeting on September 11th by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
