Basketball Game Preview: Greater Latrobe Wildcats vs. Laurel Highlands Mustangs

The Greater Latrobe Wildcats will head out to challenge the Laurel Highlands Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Laurel Highlands took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Greater Latrobe, who comes in off a win.

Greater Latrobe will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Uniontown, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Wildcats simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Red Raiders 82-43. The Wildcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Laurel Highlands played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 59-27 loss at the hands of Gateway. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Gators: they've now lost four in a row.

The win snapped Greater Latrobe's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record. As for Laurel Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Greater Latrobe strolled past Laurel Highlands when the teams last played back in January by a score of 60-41. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
