Mainland Regional has gone 9-1 against Oakcrest recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Mustangs will host the Falcons at 4:00 p.m. Mainland Regional is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

While Mainland Regional's victory against Hammonton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 win over the Blue Devils on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Oakcrest fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Buena on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 15-8. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mainland Regional's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-10-1. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Oakcrest, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Everything went Mainland Regional's way against Oakcrest when the teams last played back in April of 2023, as Mainland Regional made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
