North Augusta waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 42-29 victory over the Midland Valley Mustangs. The Yellow Jackets pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Mustangs cut but never quite recovered from.

Midland Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Xavier Geter, who threw for 217 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in two TDs on the ground. Preston Smith was another key player, gaining 133 total yards and a touchdown.

North Augusta's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Midland Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

North Augusta will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Mustangs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
