Basketball Recap: Amplus Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Beaver Dam back in December of 2024, Amplus Academy came back down to earth. The Amplus Academy Archers were beaten by the Somerset Academy Losee Lions 75-14 on Monday. The contest marked the Archers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Amplus Academy lost, don't look at FALNA AHFEROM. Despite the final result, he posted nine points and eight boards. AHFEROM has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times he's played.

Roderick Johnson was his usual excellent self, putting up 22 points for Somerset Academy Losee. Another player making a difference was Zion Gayle, who earned 11 points.

With the loss, Amplus Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4. As for Somerset Academy Losee, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Amplus Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-23 victory against Cristo Rey St. Viator on the 7th. Somerset Academy Losee has also already played their next game, a 65-62 defeat against Clark on the 9th.
