Basketball Game Preview: Lindale Eagles vs. Athens Hornets

Lindale hasn't had much luck against Athens recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lindale Eagles will host the Athens Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Lindale came up short against Kemp and fell 69-57. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Athens came tearing into Friday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They skirted past the Vandals 56-54.

Lindale's loss dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Athens, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-8 record this season.
