Volleyball Game Preview: Bacon Academy Bobcats vs. Griswold Wolverines

Bacon Academy is 1-9 against Griswold since October of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Bobcats will square off against the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Griswold took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bacon Academy, who comes in off a win.

Bacon Academy took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Windham with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Bobcats not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Bacon Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Griswold didn't have quite enough to beat Plainfield on Monday and fell 3-2.

While Griswold ultimately came up short, they really made Plainfield work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-16, 20-25, 21-25, 17-15.

Griswold's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Bacon Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Bacon Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Griswold when the teams last played on September 12th. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
