Softball Game Preview: Crockett Bulldogs vs. Trinity Tigers

The Crockett Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Trinity Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crockett has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Crockett lost 20-1 to Anderson-Shiro on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Fighting Owls: they've now lost six in a row.

Crockett saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Akeelah Whitting, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to Coldspring-Oakhurst.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Crockett, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Crockett skirted past Trinity 19-18 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
