Baseball Recap: King's Academy Gets the Win

On Monday, the King's Academy Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the West Ridge Wolves 7-6. That's two games straight that the Lions have won by just one run.

King's Academy's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Benjomar Flanegin, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Another was Parker Ferree, who scored a run and stole Three bases.

King's Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. Having lost for the first time this season, West Ridge fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, King's Academy will head out on the road to square off against Bearden at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Ridge, they will be taking part in a tournament against West at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
