Basketball Recap: Elgin Comes Up Short

Elgin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They were beaten by the Larkin Royals 68-36. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Maroons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-26 back in December of 2024.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Larkin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13.

Looking ahead, Elgin will host Maine West at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Larkin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
