Basketball Game Preview: Latta Panthers vs. Caddo Bruins

Latta is on a eight-game streak of home wins, while Caddo is on a 12-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Latta Panthers will finish 2024 at home by hosting the Caddo Bruins at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Latta was able to grind out a solid victory over Atoka, taking the game 51-41. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Wampus Cats are ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Caddo humbled Coalgate with a 50-13 victory. The Bruins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 28 points or more this season.

Caddo's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Latta, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Latta was able to grind out a solid win over Caddo in their previous matchup back in March of 2015, winning 47-35. Will Latta repeat their success, or does Caddo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
