North Suburban's top pitcher this week was
North Branch's
Blake Jorgenson. He picked up zero wins and nine strikeouts.
Benilde-St. Margaret's beat Totino-Grace this week, 6-4, in a matchup of the league's top two teams on Friday.
Benilde-St. Margaret's is now in first place at 16-4 in the league and 20-5 overall.
The Vikings boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks. North Branch's pitchers have been charged with only 145 hits and have struck out 118 batters. Jorgenson is tops on the staff with 29 Ks.
Brett Klun led the league with six hits this week for the Vikings. His 26 hits for the year are first in the league, and he boasts a .400 batting average.
