Basketball Recap: Newport Takes a Loss

Newport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 64-23 loss at the hands of the Kettle Falls Bulldogs. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-10.

Newport's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Kettle Falls, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Newport will take on Priest River at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Kettle Falls, they will challenge Omak at 6:00 p.m. on January 11th.
