Basketball Game Preview: McIntosh Chiefs vs. Lovejoy Wildcats

The McIntosh Chiefs will head out to face off against the Lovejoy Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McIntosh will be strutting in after a win while Lovejoy will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, McIntosh turned things around against Newnan on Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 victory over the Cougars.

Meanwhile, Lovejoy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against Langston Hughes, falling 57-25. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Panthers are ranked third).

McIntosh's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9. As for Lovejoy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.
