Dunbar faced Banneker in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Crimson Tide had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 2-1. The win was nothing new for the Crimson Tide as they're now sitting on three straight.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Dunbar got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 18-25, 25-19.

When it comes to explaining why Banneker lost, don't look at Carmen Carryl. Despite the final result, she had five aces.

Dunbar's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Banneker, they moved to 7-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.
