Baseball Recap: Bourgeois Comes Up Short

Bourgeois lost against E.D. White back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Braves came up short against the Cardinals, falling 12-2. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evan Ledet was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Bourgeois' loss dropped their record down to 6-26. As for E.D. White, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-18 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bourgeois will take on Riverside Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Rebels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Braves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for E.D. White, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Northshore at 4:00 p.m.
