Basketball Recap: Lorain Comes Up Short

After flying high against Euclid last Monday, Lorain came back down to earth. The Titans were outmatched by the Strongsville Mustangs and fell 71-32. The Titans have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Lorain saw an underclassman step up: freshman Bella Pinkney shot 42% from the field en route to 21 points and six rebounds. The game was Pinkney's third in a row with at least 15 points.

Lorain's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Strongsville, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Lorain will venture away from home to face off against Euclid at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Strongsville, they will welcome GlenOak at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
