Volleyball Recap: Hoehne Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hoehne can now relate to. They came up short against the Rye Thunderbolts on Friday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Thunderbolts this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in October.

Rye found their leader in sophomore Gloriana Ruiz, who had 11 digs and three aces.

Hoehne has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Rye, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-6.

Hoehne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rye, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Ignacio on the 7th.
