Softball Recap: Elizabeth Comes Up Short

Elizabeth was the 8-4 winner over Kent Place when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Minutemen took a 16-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons on Tuesday.

Elizabeth has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11-1 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Kent Place, their win bumped their record up to 6-13-1.

Looking ahead, Elizabeth will welcome West Orange at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kent Place, they will square off against Peddie at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
