After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jackson County Central, Redwood Valley was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Lac qui Parle Valley Eagles with a sharp 13-3 win. Considering the Cardinals have won five matches by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Redwood Valley saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Meier, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Redwood Valley's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-9. As for Lac qui Parle Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redwood Valley will face off against Montevideo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lac qui Parle Valley, they will take on Minneota at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight.
