Softball Recap: Plano East Gets the Win

Plano East won the last time they faced Rock Hill and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Blue Hawks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Jadyn Dawson was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Julia Wilson was a standout: she went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Chloe Lee was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 4-for-5.

Plano East was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Plano East's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Rock Hill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

Coincidentally, Plano East and Rock Hill will both be playing Plano the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Blue Hawks will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
