Baseball Recap: Donna Comes Up Short

Donna has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.75 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Nixon Mustangs. If the Redskins were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to the Redskins when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Donna saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimenez Alan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Ronaldo Bocanegra also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Donna's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Nixon, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Donna will welcome Porter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Donna's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Porter's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Nixon, they will look to defend their home field on March 7th against Roma at 7:00 p.m.
