Eagle Ridge Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They put the hurt on the Mountain Range Mustangs with a sharp 35-12 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Leading Eagle Ridge Academy to victory were Jazlyn Greenwood and Faith Lucero-Foreman. Greenwood rushed for 168 yards while picking up 9.3 yards per carry, while Lucero-Foreman rushed for 60 yards and two TDs. An impressive showing, but Lucero-Foreman really ramped things up playing D: she made six total tackles and defended nine passes in addition to snagging an interception which she returned one-yard for a touchdown. Eagle Ridge Academy also got help from Carole Tamburino, who showed off her sure hands for 97 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Eagle Ridge Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They are 5-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Another reason for the win was Eagle Ridge Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Zalia Agee-McCormick was especially locked on to Mountain Range's QB and sacked her twice. Agee-McCormick has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times she's played. Lucero-Foreman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Eagle Ridge Academy's record is now 5-7. As for Mountain Range, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Eagle Ridge Academy has already played their next contest, a 26-0 victory against Thornton on the 8th. As for Mountain Range, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-6 win against Skyview on the 8th.
