Pearland won the last time they faced Pasadena Memorial and things went their way on Saturday too. The Pearland Oilers really took it to the Pasadena Memorial Mavericks for the full four quarters, racking up a 69-28 victory. The Oilers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21 matches by 20 points or more this season.

Pearland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eliece Perry led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Perry has scored at least a third of Pearland's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shiloh Grays, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.

Pearland was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Pearland pushed their record up to 27-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.5 points per game. As for Pasadena Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 17 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-20 record this season.

Pearland will face off against Shadow Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shadow Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season. As for Pasadena Memorial, they will challenge South Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
