Softball Recap: Tri-Valley Takes Down Ranked Beresford

Tri-Valley faced Beresford in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Watchdogs 14-13. That's two games straight that the Mustangs have won by just one run.

The win made it two in a row for Tri-Valley and bumps their season record up to 11-3. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Beresford, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

Coincidentally, Tri-Valley and Beresford will both be playing Elk Point-Jefferson the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will head out to face the Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Watchdogs will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
