Basketball Recap: Cranbrook Kingswood Gets the Win

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Cranbrook Kingswood ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the Berkley Bears 57-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cranes.

Berkley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Haenick, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds. Haenick is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Friedman, who posted six points and ten boards.

Cranbrook Kingswood now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Berkley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.

Cranbrook Kingswood will be taking part in a tournament against Lamphere at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Berkley, they will take on Mott in a tournament on Monday.
