Baseball Recap: St. Cloud Cathedral Triumphs

Little Falls typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday St. Cloud Cathedral proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Flyers by a score of 4-1. The victory continues a trend for the Crusaders in their matchups with the Flyers: they've now won five in a row.

Jake Murphy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nick Plante was incredible, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Owen Fradette, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

St. Cloud Cathedral's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Little Falls, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3.

St. Cloud Cathedral has already played their next game (against Brainerd), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Little Falls, they will square off against Pequot Lakes at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
