Soccer Game Preview: Conroe vs. New Caney

Conroe has gone 4-0 against New Caney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Conroe Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the New Caney Eagles at 7:30 p.m.

Conroe is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Saturday, they were much more limited against College Park on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to the Cavaliers. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Tigers were already down 4-0.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask New Caney). Their defense stepped up to hand West Fork a 4-0 shutout last Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

New Caney now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Conroe, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2-1.

Conroe beat New Caney 3-1 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Conroe since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
